Does this happen to anyone else?

Whenever my inflammation gets really high - as it is now with 4 weeks off Cimzia ready to start Rituximab - my bowels can become totally unpredictable. I feel cold, achey and shivery then get several episodes of miserable diahorrea and gripey pains. This has happened about 6 times in the past 2 years. Last night I was stuck in the bathroom for most of 2 hours. Feel very delicate this morning ... Blink xx Ailsa

Hello

yes

I have this- the CImzia is sometimes part of the issue on this- just so you are aware.

In the end, I had a camera up the whatsit and now have a diagnosis of colitis but also have had acute spells of diverticulitis which are really horrendous.
Its all inflammatory things to do with the RA.

I take buscopan and try not to have too much roughage in my diet but fruits etc.

With any change of bowel things, you do need to have it checked.

I know, I hate doing these things too!

Hi Ailsa

I agree with Jenni. Any change in bowel habits needs investigating. I do hope you get it sorted soon.
